CHRISTINE CHRISTMAS and SHONTAY JONES, Individually and Representatives for all others similarly situated and the General Public. This is a national class action against:

BLOCKBUSTER, INC.

on behalf of those who allege claims against Blockbuster, Inc. for wrongfully and unfairly deceiving its customers by offering rental periods for two days, but not actually allowing the rental period to last the full two days as offered, and thereby enticing customers to rent VCR tapes and DVDs for a certain period which was not provided, and then billing them for a new rental period before the original period, if accurately counted, had expired. Blockbuster, Inc., a publicly traded subsidiary of Viacom, Inc. is the self-proclaimed "world's leading renter of videos, DVDs, and video games," with stores all across the nation. The suit asks for cypres recovery, permanent injunctive relief, compensatory and consequential damages suffered by Plaintiffs and the members of the Class, exemplary damages, restitution and disgorgement of money received by Defendants as a result of their wrongful conduct, attorneys' fees, pre-judgment interest, and costs of suit.
